Research on Cutting Temperature of GH4169 Turning with Micro-Textured Tools

نویسندگان

چکیده

The GH4169 superalloy has the characteristics of high strength, strong thermal stability, large specific heat capacity, small conductivity, etc., but it is also a typical hard-to-cut material. When cutting this material with ordinary tools, force large, and temperature high, which leads to severe tool wear short service life. In order improve performance tools when GH4169, reduce temperature, extend life tool, micro-textured were used cut in spray cooling. effects micro-texture morphology dimensional parameters on analyzed. Firstly, micro-textures five different morphologies designed near nose rake face cemented carbide tools. three-dimensional models established by using ABAQUS, simulation analysis was carried out. Compared non-textured lowest selected according results temperature. Secondly, based optimized morphology, size designed. simulated analyzed, as well. Finally, processed applied experiments. model verified experiments, influence This paper provides theoretical reference basis for design application

Prediction Model for CNC Turning on AISI316 with Single and Multilayered Cutting tool Using Box Behnken Design (RESEARCH NOTE)

Austenitic stainless steels (AISI316) are used for many commercial and industrial applications for their excellent corrosive resistance. AISI316 is generally difficult to machine material due to their high strength and high work hardening tendency. Tool wear (TW) and surface roughness (SR) are broadly considered the most challenging phases causing poor quality in machining. Optimization of cutt...

Wear behavior of ZrAlN coated cutting tools during turning

In this study we explore the cutting performance of ZrAlN coatings. WC:Co cutting inserts coated by cathodic arc evaporated Zr1-xAlxN coatings with x between 0 and 0.83 were tested in a longitudinal turning operation. The progress of wear was studied by optical microscopy and the used inserts were studied by electron microscopy. The cutting performance was correlated to the coating composition ...

Optimization of Minimum Quantity Liquid Parameters in Turning for the Minimization of Cutting Zone Temperature

The use of cutting fluid in manufacturing industries has now become more problematic due to environmental pollution and health related problems of employees. Also the minimization of cutting fluid leads to the saving of lubricant cost and cleaning time of machine, tool and work-piece. The concept of minimum Quantity Lubrication (MQL) has come in to practice since a decade ago in order to overco...

Research on Cutting Performance of Ceramic Cutting Tools in Milling High Density Fiberboard

The effect of cutting parameters and tool parameters on cutting forces and tool wear were investigated in high density fiberboard (HDF) peripheral up-milling using toughened ceramic cutting tools. The results showed that whether at low speed cutting or high speed cutting, the tangential forces Ft and normal forces Fr increased slowly with the increase of cutting length. The tangential forces Ft...
